I get it. There are about a thousand ways you can search for a home, and I’d venture that about 9,990 are not awesome. Inaccurate and/or out-of-date information, incomplete information and difficult to understand information are the top complaints I hear most often, but I know there are many more.

At this very moment I can think of three clients that came to me after bashing their heads against their computer screen after finding a listing and either trying to setup a showing, or finding out in the most inconvenient way ever that the information on the listing was gravely inaccurate.

So, why is my way better and how does it work?

  1. Accurate information: Bairdwarner.com’s information draws straight from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), which is the internal database that all brokers use for listing their properties. I can’t speak to where other sites get their information, but I can tell you that ours is updated constantly throughout the day and transfers straight from the MLS to the consumer-facing site.
  2. Closed feedback loop: As great as our technology is, my firm belief is that any search is only as good as the human touch working behind the scenes. What normally happens after you find a listing you love? With my search, (as long as you enter me as your preferred broker), I receive an alert every time you show interest in a property so that I can answer questions or schedule a showing.
  3. User-friendly interface: The ingredients here are simple, right? Big pictures, neighborhood/school information, a map and mortgage information all in one place.
